What Makes a Great Club?
Teachers feedback
At the LEP we value your feedback, please email us and let us know where we can improve or what you think we are doing well.
The key to a great science and engineering club is mainly down to you, the club leader. As long as you keep your motivation and enthusiasm then your influence will be passed onto your club members. Other secrets to success are:-
- Being enthusiastic and motivated
- Always giving the impression you want to get involved in everything
- Making sure your session is relaxed with a fun club atmosphere (i.e. not a class atmosphere)
- Being flexible and running the activities and challenges your club members want.
- Entering competitions and challenges. If the possibility of winning is remote, enter anyway and go along to the event for a great day out
- Promoting club successes and activities in the press, whether in your school newsletter or in your local newspaper
- Listening to your club members,
- Keeping things simple to start with and building your club up gently
