The EDT is an independent registered charity, established in 1984, running schemes to inspire and motivate young people to choose a career in science, engineering and technology(SET). The IET Faraday
The IET Faraday informs young people about the world of science, engineering and technology and inspires them to become involved in it. The engagement of young people and teachers is through a programme of specially made films, student challenges, school visits and teaching resources. Resourcematerials are available free to all schools throughout the year through a high quality, interactive website. Students will create their own competition entries and compete for fantastic prizes. There are also the action-packed Faraday Engineering Challenge Days which are creative and inspiring opportunities for schools to take part in around the country.

Technology Enhancement Programme
Visit this site to access TEP projects and resources to use in the classroom to illustrate important techniques and principles that address national curriculum requirements across the Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. TEP's new focus in particular is to support the Diploma in Engineering at levels 1-3, starting teaching in Sept 2008.
