About the Organisation

The Brightside Trust is a charity committed to creating educational opportunities to provide individuals with the confidence and skills they need to overcome social disadvantage. We are an enthusiastic and friendly team that understand the importance of developing strong and rewarding relationships with both the public and private sectors to find sustainable solutions to long-standing problems in education. The Trust specializes in creating bespoke e-mentoring websites, where young people can be mentored my undergraduates and professionals in a secure and engaging online environment.

LEP involvement

The Brightside Trust is creating a new e-mentoring website, Livejournals to help inspire and encourage young people from non-traditional backgrounds to consider engineering at higher education. These school pupils will be mentored by undergraduates and professionals. As well as the mentoring function, the website also has an extensive resource library, topical news and interactive polls and quizzes, so the mentoring pair should always have something new to discuss.
