Tube Lines

About the Organisation 

Tube Lines is an engineering company based in London, which has a 30 year contract with London Underground to maintain and upgrade the infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines.  It is undertaking the biggest transformation on the Underground seen for decades, under an investment programme worth billions of pounds, which will deliver major benefits for passengers. Its mission is to deliver an oustanding Tube for London.

Tube Lines work includes upgrading the signalling system on all three lines, modernising the 100 stations for which it is responsible, maintianing and modernising the train fleet for these lines and replacing and refurbish track, lifts and escalators.

LEP Involvement

Tube Lines, in partnerhip with the LEP and STEMNET's Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SEA) Programme, has succesfully recruited and trained over 30 new ambassadors to the scheme. These SEAs will be available to support various LEP activities and events organised with our schools.
