I really enjoy working with young people and sharing my knowledge and experience of engineering".

  • Ed Hopkins, Tube Lines

    Ed is a STEM Ambassador for the LEP, in June he won an award for 'Young Engineer of the Year' at the Academy Awards 2009 for his work with the LEP. He says, "I thoroughly believe that projects such as STEMNET and the LEP are a fantastic way to achieve this level of enthusiasm in young children today. My experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive and I hope to continue to help out where I can, if only due to a selfish enjoyment of seeing how much the projects help inspire young people".
